MindfulSpeech.Training offers interpersonal communication training that brings mindful awareness practices to conflict resolution. They wanted a design that had a secular yet spiritual feel to it, and something that could convey the communicative spirit.
The original vision was of talking head(s), a meditator and a lotus. Depicted here are a few among many ideas that came through my head.
Although strongly symbolizing the act of communicating between two people, the talking heads were ruled out due to the desire for simplicity. The speech bubble however, a symbol used in cartoons for decades, was kept, providing a flare of friendly symbolism to accurately represent communication.
Since the meditator seemed to sway the image more toward Buddhism and away from neutrality, we looked for another element to replace it with since without it, it seemed like something was missing.
It was a beautiful a-ha moment when a heart came into mind, as it not only replaced a possible religious influence, it conveyed the unification driven purpose behind the company’s trainings.
The cherry on top, was the highly customizable font, Maestrale by Catharsis Fonts, a perfect classy addition to this logo’s look and feel.
